Smart Share Housing Solutions

Thank you for partnering with us to help make SLO County a thriving, affordable, and inclusive community! The majority of our annual operating budget comes from generous donors like you.

In the lowest range of the housing continuum, our HomeShareSLO program seeks to expand the stock of available housing units in SLO County with the minimum of expenditure or output. Our mission is to connect people with extra rooms to share with those looking for affordable rooms to rent.

Our ADU SLO seeks to increase affordable and attainable housing options within existing real estate.

Your donation ensures we continue to service those in our county whose housing options are limited and/or whose housing situations are tenuous and/or temporary. We are thankful for your support.

Waterman Village Project

The Waterman Project, a sustainable micro-village, will renovate the historic adobe at 466 Dana Street and add up to 20 affordable Tiny Homes. The long unused property will be transformed to serve the community, bringing old and new together while preserving the lush tree canopy AND meeting needs for local affordable housing in community resilience. Through these efforts, neighborhood safety and vitality will be further enhanced and this project will serve as a replicable community partnership model for other game changing adaptive reuse, community resilience and affordable housing partnerships ahead.
